These smart meters not so smart after all

Solihull News - - LETTERS & EMAILS -

SMART meters or dumb consumers, I’m at a loss to understand which...

I have leaflets, television adverts and a continual stream of “experts” telling me that the “free” smart meter is going to save me a small fortune, and then I read that it isn’t free, it’s a hidden cost, just like the “free” light bulbs that used to drop through my letterbox.

Now the roll- out of this technology is going to cost me around £ 400. I’m also told that this smart meter is already out of date.

The more I read about smart meters, the more I see another intrusive gadget being introduced into my home. S T Vaughan
