Time to crack down on wood stoves fad
OVER the past few weeks there has been a number of letters published regarding the introduction of congestion charges in the city and the effects of diesel engines on the environment.
However, what I consider a threat, almost as great to the city’s air quality, is the proliferation of wood- burning stoves.
I cannot see the point of trying to improve the current situation without embracing the whole spectrum of transgressors.
Wood burners have in the last few years become a popular and dangerous fad.
