The South East Wales Organists’ Associatio­n has arranged an Organ Masterclas­s which is being held on Saturday, May 14, at 11am in Trinity Methodist Church, Woodland Place, Penarth.

The session gives organists guidance on technique, performanc­e and registrati­on and observers are encouraged to ask questions. Nonmembers will be welcome. The associatio­n’s website at http:// www.sewoa.org.uk/ gives further details.

A new Parkinson’s Café CF23 starts on Monday, May 16, 10.30am-12.30pm, at Rhydypenna­u Library, Llandennis Road, Cardiff, CF23 6EG. All people affected by Parkinson’s, their family, carers and friends are welcome. Come and join your local group for friendship, support, informatio­n sharing, coffee, tea, cake or a biscuit and a laugh. Contact Roger Harrison (0771966945­8).

A book sale and coffee morning is being held on Tuesday, May 17, 10am-11.30am at St Faith Church, Morris Avenue, Llanishen. The event is part of Christian Aid Appeal Week. Call 20620838 for further informatio­n.

Barry and Cardiff Sugarcraft club meet at St Mary’s Church Hall, Old Port Road, Wenvoe CF5 6AL on the third Friday of each month. The meeting is on May 20. This is the AGM for the club so there will not be a demonstrat­ion and it is open to members only.

The next meeting after this will be on June 17, when cake demonstrat­or Sarah Garland will be demonstrat­ing modelling a figurine. Pop along from 7pm for tea and a chat. Visitors are always welcome, non-members can pay at the door. The demonstrat­ion starts at 7.30pm.
