Pets’ names: Tia and Luna Park. Breed: Tia is a border collie and Luna is a border collie crossed with a patterdale terrier. Ages: Tia is four and Luna is one. Owner: Bekki Park, 26, a dog walker, from Pontprennau, Cardiff. Owner’s story: “Tia was kind of like a rescue dog. We got her from up the Valleys where she was kept outside in a shed.
“Luna came from Treharris so they are both second-hand dogs really.
“Tia is not so good with other dogs so I was a bit worried when we had Luna.
“Tia has had a few bad experiences with other dogs where she’s been bitten, so it was a bit tense. But we gave her lots of positive feedback which helped and it took her about a week to be settled.
“As puppies they have both been very good actually.
“Being collies they very clever and they are very good with training.
“Luna was very good but she did chew up the coffee table a few times.
“One of their favourite foods are liver treats – anything smelly they like really. It’s nice for them but not for me!
“The pair of them are very energetic. Luna is very, very cuddly and she thinks she is a lap dog sometimes. Tia is not as cuddly as Luna really, she likes to be doing things more.
“She is obsessed with her ball as well. Her ball is her life.
“She carries it around the house. Any ball will do, and if it’s a squeaky ball that’s even better.
“The pair of them did get into a bag of dry food once and tipped it all over the kitchen.
“Once Luna rolled in a big cow pat too with a new harness on that cost about £50. It did eventually come out after a few washes.
“They are my babies. My life revolves around my dogs. Anyone who knows me knows that.”
