ONE of Wales’ fastest-growing financial services firms is creating 200 jobs in an investment that will also see it launch a new rival to car-selling venture AutoTrader.

MotoNovo Finance, which provides finance to car, van and motorcycle dealerships across the UK, is creating the new jobs at its headquarters at Cardiff city centre’s 1 Central Square office scheme over the next 12 months, as the business moves closer to hitting the 1,000 employee mark.

The new roles will include jobs in customer care, sales, collections, marketing and credit analytics, as well as department heads and senior leadership positions.

The recruitment drive is expected to add more than £18m to the Welsh economy in salaries alone. The business currently has a workforce of 687.

Since moving last year to its new headquarters at 1 Central Square, where it occupies five floors, MotoNovo has diversified its services, entering new markets and making significant investment into its consumer division.

The Sunday Times Best Companies-listed employer is currently gearing up for the launch of its next consumer product, vehicle listings website findandfundmycar.com.

Due to launch next year, the site, which has been earmarked to rival AutoTrader, will employ 20 in roles across dealer and consumer support, marketing and analytics.

The company has also launched Motonovocareers.com to house its vacancy details.

Katie Feagan, recruitment manager at MotoNovo Finance, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer a wide range of roles over the coming year.

“Our fast-paced growth is a sign of further exciting things to come from MotoNovo and an expansion of the services we’re able to offer.”

With profits of £69m over the last financial year, the company was ranked the 26th biggest firm in Wales on turnover – with some £218m – in the 2016 Wales Top 300 project.
