YOUR PETS Molly the dog has got a lot of energy

Pet’s name: Molly. Breed: Springer spaniel. Age: Nine months. Owners: Matthew Jones, 24, a student at the University of South Wales, and Rhiannon Davies, 28, a nursery worker, from Aberdare. Owner’s story: “We’ve had Molly since she was around six weeks old.

“Even though we had her young she adapted really well with us. She hasn’t been any trouble and she hasn’t chewed any furniture or anything like that, and we haven’t had to make any changes to the house.

“We found her through a breeder on the internet and that’s how we got her.

“I wanted a dog but the only way I could get one is if my partner Rhiannon was allowed to name them, so that’s where Molly came from.

“She doesn’t really have a favourite food, she’ll eat absolutely anything to be honest.

“She loves going for walks anywhere, especially if it’s near water.

“She loves running through the water, which does make a bit of a mess – especially with her white fur when she runs through a muddy puddle.

“When me and Rhiannon are in work and I’m in Cardiff studying, Molly is fine just out the back of the house.

“She spends most of her time out there and then when we get home she comes inside, so she’s happy with that.

“She is a pretty wild dog, she’s got a lot of energy. I can definitely see why they call they’ve got springer in the name now.

“Molly has become part of the family now really.”
