Nandos-style takeaway to open in capital

-

A NEW Nandos-style takeaway chain is opening in Cardiff’s city centre.

Chilli Flames, which already has four successful branches in Leicester and Derby, is set to open on St Mary Street at the end of December – just in time for that New Year’s Eve hangover.

The restaurant will rustle up grilled chicken, which will be smothered in a choice of a lemon and herb, medium, hot or extra hot Peri sauce.

Customers then can choose their chicken to be served in a naan bread, panini, burger or wrap and add a side and drink.

Or, much like KFC, you can pick up wings, strips or family-size orders.

Side orders include mashed potato, onion rings, corn on the cob and garlic bread. Meals cost between £5 to £7 and customers can also opt to sit in at one of the 52 seats available.

There are also beef, salad and vegetarian options.

A spokesman for Chilli Flames said: “Nowadays more people are taking up a healthier lifestyle and are looking for more protein in their diet – which is why we set up Chilli Flames.

“Personally, I grew up in Cardiff, and believe this will be a great addition to the area.

“We are already very successful in Leicester and we really want to integrate into Wales.”
