Bootleg Beatles to play in Caerphilly
THEY may not be the real thing but the world famous Bootleg Beatles have amassed legions of fans over the years as they’ve paid homage to the Fab Four.
Now they are preparing to play a massive summer gig in Wales in 2018 - at Caerphilly Castle.
Orchard Entertainment will kick off the summer season with the gig on Friday, June 15 .
It will be followed on Saturday, June 16 with The Levellers’ 30th anniversary concert at the venue.
The Bootleg Beatles will be supported by another popular tribute act - The Bowie Collective.
2018 sees a landmark for The Bootleg Beatles, with the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ self-titled double album (known universally as The White Album), which has sold over 10.7 million copies worldwide.
1968 also saw the band release their mega-hit Hey Jude which topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
Formed from the original cast of London’s West End hit show Beatlemania, The Bootleg Beatles have become an institution in their own right with their note-perfect recreation of hits from every era of the world’s most famous band.
Each tiny detail is meticulously covered from costumes to authentic period instruments; from the Liverpudlian banter to their inflection-perfect vocal mimicry. But it’s not only their sound that is so authentic; they also bear an uncanny resemblance to the Fab Four.
