SOL’S WIFE HAS PERFECT RESPONSE TO TICKET PLEAS

FA CUP fever has certainly taken hold of football fans in Cardiff – with some turning to an unlikely source for tickets.

Supporters across the city are desperate to get their hands on tickets for the visit of Premier League champions-elect Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round tie on Sunday.

But with the tickets for the match like gold dust, some supporters are even asking the wife of one of city’s stars for tickets.

But she’s got the perfect comeback for them.

Fans queued for hours at the Cardiff City Stadium last week, and continued to do so over the weekend, despite City’s visit to Sheffield Wednesday.

The Man City game is almost certain to be the first sellout this season.

And it’s a fact that’s not escaped Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock, who paid queuing fans a visit before jokingly asking one supporter where they’d been during the rest of the season.

Those sentiments have now been echoed by Sol Bamba’s wife, Chloe, who has taken to Twitter to reveal she’s received numerous requests for tickets for the visit of Pep Guardiola’s men.

However, the perceived lack of similar interest in Cardiff’s promotion campaign, which despite the goalless draw at Hillsborough, remains on track, has clearly left Chloe unimpressed.

She tweeted: “So next week my husband’s team are playing Man City. When I tell you .... THE AMOUNT of out the woodwork ‘heyyy can I have a ticket’ I’m getting. WHERE WERE U FOR PRESTON NORTH END THOOOO”

In fairness, an FA Cup tie against one of the Premier League’s big guns is always going to lead to heightened interest, but if you’re looking for tickets from Mrs Bamba you should probably have a strong ticketing history to hand.

Meanwhile, for those not yet lucky enough to book their seats for the weekend’s game, tickets were yesterday commanding prices of an eye-watering £96.68 each on one ticket resale site.

Why Bamba’s not fazed by Man City: Sport.
