Take up new hobby and join the dance

-

AS we settle in to the new year it is the perfect time to start up a new hobby and if dancing appeals to you, Cardiff dance teachers Robert and Caroline Mouncher are ready to help. They run new beginner courses for adults twice a year, for people with no previous dancing experience.

This year is a year of dancing anniversaries for them. It was 50 years ago that Caroline started out in a babies ballet class, 40 years ago that Robert took his first amateur ballroom medal test, and 20 years ago that they began to teach their own classes in Cardiff.

With their years of experience, they still love to start newcomers on the first steps of their own dance journeys.

You can start dancing with them next week by enrolling for their next beginners’ course in ballroom and Latin American dance.

You will learn basic steps of the waltz, quickstep, cha-cha, jive and plenty more. And, as well as learning more about dance, going to a class is a great way to get out for an hour, have some gentle exercise, and meet new friends too.

Their next course starts tonight 7.30 to 8.30pm, in the Village Hall, Gwaelod-y-Garth, Cardiff.

They run weekly classes on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings allowing people to progress their dancing skills in an improver or intermediate class. Alternatively, one-to-one appointments are available for throughout the week in Gwaelod-y-Garth and in Rhiwbina.

Details are on their website www.movement-connects.com and for inquiries, such as prices or how to join, call Rob and Caroline on 029 2081 3696.
