Other areas set to benefit

Here are some of the other streets which will benefit from £30,000 or more worth of investment into carriageway improvements.

■ £75,000 will be spent on strengthening the carriageway on Clydach Road in Clydach Vale.

■ £70,000 will be spent on strengthening the carriageway on Madeline Street and Tanybryn in Pontygwaith.

■ £65,000 will be spent on strengthening roads near Tylorstown sports centre.

■ £56,000 on strengthening Lewis St and Lawn Terrace in Treforest.

■ £55,000 will be spent on surface replacement on Morgan St in Porth.

■ £45,000 will be spent on strengthening the carriageway on Conway Close in Glyncoch.

■ £44,000 will be spent on surface treatment on Heol Seaward in Beddau.

■ £44,000 will be spent on surface treatment of the B4278 Trealaw Road in Trealaw. ■ £40,000 will be spent to strengthen the carriageway on Woodland Crescent in Abercynon.

■ £40,000 will be spent on surface treatment on Eglwysillan Rd in Pontypridd.

■ £38,000 will be spent on the overlay of the toad to Gedrys farm in Garth.
