YOUR PETS Bonnie’s like our very own Bagpuss

-

Pet’s name: Bonnie. Breed: Scottish Terrier. Age: 10. Owners: Louise Evans, 26, and Susan Evans, 50, from Pentyrch, Cardiff. Owners’ story: “Bonnie was given to us as her previous owners could no longer look after her.

“Bonnie is a big part of the family. She is such a character.

“She loves going out for walks and loves playing fetch a little too much.

“She will tear up a tennis ball into a million pieces in less than two minutes.

“She is very independent and a very curious dog too.

“She enjoys day trips out in the car, she gets very excited and will go in the car before anyone else.

“She is quite an avid traveller – she’s been to Barry Island and Castle Coch and the Garth mountain numerous times.

“Bonnie has very distinctive grey hairs around her eyes, which does tend to appear with older scottie dogs.

“Bonnie really enjoyed watching the highlights of Crufts on TV when it was on.

“It was very funny as a Scottish Terrier won the one of the ‘hound’ classes.

“The dog was immaculately turned out with a glossy coat and walked beautifully.

“All the family were looking at Bonnie, she was gazing at the TV, probabably thinking: ‘That should have been me!’

“Bonnie loves getting dirty and dusty, she is our very own version of Bagpuss.

“She gives us so much housework as her coat is very thick and dense.

“Dust and mud come into the house which is not too fun to clean up.

“Bonnie is a very playful dog, she loves going out in the car and walking around local fields.

“She runs very quickly – if she sees a rabbit or a bird she will try to get to it.

“She loves her back being rubbed and will respond to most commands.

“She hates her tail being pulled, though, she will snap!

“She will often sneakily go onto the settee and sleep there which she knows is naughty.

“She covers it with all her mud when she goes out!”
