YOUR PETS One’s a whirlwind, the other a clown

-

Pet names: Gypsy and Drummer. Pet ages: Drummer is three, Gypsy’s age is unknown. Breeds: Gypsy is a Staffordshire bull terrier and Drummer is a Staffordshire bull terrier and English bull terrier. Owner: Morgan Galsworthy, 30, from Nant-y-moel, near Bridgend. Owner’s story: “We got Gypsy four years ago from Cardiff Dogs’ Home and Drummer after the couple who owned him’s relationship broke down.

“Gypsy was like a whirlwind when we first got her but was generally good as gold.

“Drummer was horrible, he was banned from doggy daycare and used to nip a lot.

“Gypsy became reactive to other dogs a few months after we got her but she’s doing well with her training and is a million times better.

“She’s still really well behaved and that’s her only downfall.

“Drummer is the perfect dog now! He’s really chilled out, loves sleeping and just generally having company.

“He can walk for miles and miles or just around the green, he really doesn’t mind as long as he is with people.

“They get on well most of the time but Gypsy can be horrible to Drummer sometimes. She definitely rules the roost!

“Gypsy’s favourite things are being outdoors and anything to do with water.

“Drummer’s favourite thing is definitely sleeping!

“Gypsy doesn’t like having to stop when she’s outside and will tell you about it.

“Drummer everything.

“Gypsy is high energy and high maintenance. She’s intelligent and loving. loves everyone and

“Drummer is a clown. He makes us laugh every day.

“When Drummer was a puppy he couldn’t always hold his head up so every time he ran down the stairs, jumped off the corner or turned around quickly, he would bash his chin on the floor.

“They’re really good company and the house is never empty so you get the most enthusiastic greeting ever when you get home.

“We can’t always take Gypsy along to places we might like to because of her issues with other dogs – but we’ll get there.

“Since getting them, our lives have changed.

“Now we walk a lot all over South Wales and I’ve even gone as far as to start working with dogs, which I never would have thought of before!”
