Double wedding delight as siblings share special day
The couples: A double wedding for Michael Raymond Jones, 49, a heating ventilation engineer, and Sian Roberts, 46, domestic goddess. Both from Barry.
As well as Michael’s sister Lynne Alexandra Townsend, 48, care assistant, from Barry, and David Charles Townsend, 59, tiler, originally from Evesham, but now living in Barry.
The venue: St Andrews Golf Club, Barry, on October 19.
How they met: Sian said: “Michael and I met at a friend’s house and began dating in 1985.”
Lynne said: “Dave and I met at a skittles weekend when my team was playing his. I hadn’t played skittles before so Dave had to show me.” The proposals: Michael proposed to Sian on Christmas Eve 2016.

In April 2017, the couples went to Tenby and decided on a double wedding and set a date.
The wedding: Sian said: “We had our daughter as bridesmaid and two sons walk me down the aisle.
“I’m so proud of them.
“All our grandchildren were flower girls and Kayden was page boy.
“To top it off Mike surprised me with a white Audi A1 car at the venue having turned around there it was with a bow and ribbons.
“I was so shocked I cried with tears of joy.
“It was such a beautiful day with friends and family. We are so happy and in love and we are finally Mr & Mrs Jones.”
Lynne said: “Sharing the day with Sian and Mike just made it even more special.
“My father Mike walked me down the aisle and my daughter Rhianne and granddaughter Sophie were bridesmaids, granddaughters Abigail and Ruby were our flowergirls and grandsons Marshall and George were our pageboys.
“The day was just picture perfect with beautiful sunshine and wonderful family and friends.”
The honeymoon: The two couples will be going to Mexico for two weeks.
