■■ A charity quiz night and raffle is being held at the Scout Hall on Allensbank Crescent, Heath, Cardiff, tonight to raise funds for the Paul Popham Fund, which helps renal patients across Wales. All welcome. Organisers thank all those who have helped and contributed prizes to the event.

■■Conway Road Methodist Church, Canton, is holding its autumn fayre on Saturday, November 17, 11am1pm. Stalls will include cakes, books, plants, gifts, collectables and bric a brac, nearly new clothes and a raffle. Refreshments available. Admission is £1 adults, children free. All proceeds to church funds, to maintain this community building as it approaches its 150th anniversary next year.
