Outdoor festive bar opens up at music venue

-

AN OUTDOOR Christmas bar is to opening in Cardiff in the run-up to December 25, writes Nathan Bevan.

Coming to live music venue Tramshed on Clare Road, the festive pop-up takes inspiration from the Alpine slopes and will transform the building’s terrace into a wintry hideaway with a menu full of winter cocktails and mulled wines and ciders.

Launching today and running until Christmas Eve, The Christmas Bar will be pouring you a glass full of the festive spirit between 4pm and 11pm – although doors will be at the slightly earlier time of noon every Saturday.

Also on offer will be hot gin and tonics and Baileys Hot Chocolate, all served in kitsch Christmas mugs, while plush blankets, cushions and mistletoe add to the feeling of seasonal snugness.

There’ll even be a seven foot model reindeer on site to provide revellers with the perfect Yuletide photograph.

If the winter weather is really bad you could always slip inside to watch daily film screenings at Tramshed’s inhouse cinema.

Meanwhile, the venue will be host to an array of gigs over the holiday period, including performances from Goldie Lookin’ Chain, East 17, Bad Manners and more.
