Caerphilly man scoops EuroMillions prize

-

A MYSTERY EuroMillions winner has become a millionaire without ever touching a ticket.

Known only as Mr R from Caerphilly, the lucky man scooped the life-changing prize in November.

He plans to invest his winnings for the future, but said his first purchase will be a holiday.

Mr R played EuroMillions online, and became one of more than eight million players that win each week on the lottery’s various games.

National Lottery senior winners’ advisor Andy Carter said: “Huge congratulations to Mr R for winning this fantastic prize without even touching a ticket – after a few simple clicks he has become a millionaire!

“With many people leading busy lives, playing online is becoming increasingly popular.

“It means you can make sure your lucky numbers are always in the draw and your ticket is always checked.”

Camelot, who run the National Lottery, said interactive winners have the chance to release their name, stay anonymous or release select details like Mr R.

People who play online through national-lottery.co.uk have their numbers checked automatically and receive a notification when they have won.
