Thornbridge & Fourpure Breweries Fresa, Strawberry Milkshake IPA, 4.8% ABV, 330ml bottle, available at Tesco

THIS beer is a collaboration brew by Thornbridge Brewery of Bakewell, Derbyshire, and Fourpure Brewing Co of Bermondsey, London.

A milkshake IPA is a beer that has been sweetened by adding lactose which does not ferment in alcohol and remains sweet.

Lactose was traditionally added to Milk Stouts but now craft brewers are adding it to other beers to create ‘Milkshake IPAs’.

Fresa is murky yellow in colour and pours with a thin white head.

Strawberries are dominant in the aroma.

Sweet strawberries in the taste before the milkshake flavour takes hold.

This really does taste of strawberry milkshake!

A bit too sweet for me but no doubt others will like it.
