■■One Voice Gospel Choir, led by Jacky Webbe, are hosting their annual Christmas concert at the Ely Methodist Church (Cowbridge Road West CF5 5BQ). It will start at 7pm tomorrow, December 16, with free entry along with a voluntary retiring collection, which will go to the work of the church. All are welcome.

■■Father Christmas is set to put in an appearance at Cardiff Riding School tomorrow, December 16. Other Christmas festivitie­s include a tombola stall, where everyone who enters wins a prize. There will also be homemade cakes, mince pies, hot drinks – and an opportunit­y to meet the hardworkin­g horses and ponies. The event is run by Friends of Cardiff Riding School who help raise money to buy essential equipment for the school, and organise work teams to help keep the place looking immaculate. ■■Perfect Day function band will be hosting a charity event on Friday, December 21. All profits will be donated to Llamau, to help the homeless in Cardiff and surroundin­g areas. Live music and food included in ticket price. For details see https://www.weddingban­ds-south-wales.com/

■■The Open Door Club for senior citizens is held at Christ the King Parish Centre, Newborough Avenue, Llanishen, Cardiff, every third Thursday of the month, 2pm-4pm. Free tea/coffee and biscuits, fellowship, conversati­on, raffle and entertainm­ent.

■■Llanishen Healthy Hearts is a heart support group, establishe­d for 20 years and BHF registered. If you have had a heart event this could be for you.
