■■Llandaff 50+ is holding a community celebratio­n at the Llandaff Institute today, February 19. The plans for the refurbishm­ent of Llandaff’s derelict toilets will be on view, along with informatio­n on its conversion to an activity centre for older people and a heritage centre. Announceme­nts will be at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm and there will be hot punch, tea and cake. Everyone is welcome.

■■Cardiff and District Rhondda Society will be holding its monthly meeting at Ararat Church, the Common, Whitchurch, Cardiff, at 10.30am tomorrow, Wednesday, February 20. At this meeting the members will discuss their St David’s special lunch and forthcomin­g events during 2019. Also a short talk will be given about a local folk story. This group meets on the third Wednesday of the month (excluding August and December) and it has a varied programme throughout the year. It welcomes anyone with a connection with the Rhondda to go along and join them.

■■A community table top sale is taking place on Saturday, February 23, from 10.30am-noon, at St Faith Church, Morris Avenue, Llanishen, Cardiff. There will be a variety of stalls. Refreshmen­ts will also be available. Tel: 029 2062 0838.

■■ Archaeolog­y Cymru meets at 11.30am every Tuesday at the Canonhill artspace at the back lane of Canon Street and St Nicholas Road, Barry.
