-

A GRANDMOTHER who would go out of her way to help others has been remembered for her generosity and beautiful smile.

Tributes have been paid to Myra Margeri Granelli following her death on April 26 aged 90.

Growing up, she was an only child and spent a lot of time with her family.

She met Harold Granelli when she was 15 and married him eight years later, in 1950, and had two children.

Myra had a number of jobs but worked in Woolworths in 1970.

She then went on to work for Castle Bingo, before working at Busy Bee Cafe in Pontypridd for 18 years.

Here she was renowned for her smile and her generosity with customers. She worked there until she retired 10 years ago.

Her hobbies included spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren and attending bingo.

However, after suffering a fall while out bowling, she broke her hip and her health deteriorated in recent years.

She was bedridden and also had to deal with her kidneys failing.

Paying tribute, her granddaughter Maxien Granelli, 44, said: “I have so many great memories of her it’s hard to pick out a favourite.

“She treated everyone the same, no matter who it was, and she got on with everyone in the family.

“Everyone will remember her smile and her infectious laugh. People will remember her for her kindness and her generosity but I’ll always remember her for her beautiful smile.”

Myra passed away at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital with her family around her hospital bed.

A funeral service for Myra will be held tomorrow at Treforest Crematorium at 3pm.
