‘Cheeky Miguel likes to wee on everything’

Pet’s name: Miguel the Chihuahua.

Age: Six.

Breed: Chihuahua.

Owner: Tracey Lawrence, 35, from Treforest.

Owner’s story: Tracey said: “I have loved dogs and especially small dogs since I was a child.

“My last dog, which was also a Chihuahua died just over a year before Miguel came into my life, so it was only now that I have felt ready to love another pet after all of the hurt.

“Miguel came from the same family that my previous chi came from albeit a different generation.

“Initially it was hard to care after another dog but I am so happy that my little Mig is in my life.

“Since he came into my life, it has been something of a whirl wind.

“There are some things that have happen that I can not believe did.

“In my house I have some of the old toys that Skip, my last dog had, and Miguel will not touch them.

“It is almost like he knows not to touch them at all.

“Although anything else in the house is fair game to him.

“I honestly think he has tried to wee over everything in the house.

“He loves to walk, well I say walk, but it’s more like a chance for him to sniff everything.

“I suppose in a way that the smells he picks up on are like little doggy texts between himself and other dogs.

“A friend of mine has said that they would like to breed their Chihuahua with Miguel, but while he hasn’t had the snip, I’m not sure I like the thought of little Miguels out there.

“He means the world to me and I like to think that he is fond of me as well, especially when it comes to feeding time.

“Between his toys, food and sniffy walks - Miguel is the best friend I could possibly have and that I so very thankful to have spent the time with him.”
