■■Rozmogz Autumn Fayre takes place tomorrow, October 19, 2pm-4pm, at Church of the Resurrecti­on, Grand Avenue, Ely, Cardiff. Fun-filled family afternoon in support of Rozmogz Reborn Cat Rescue. Cuddly toy tombola, name the teddy, raffle, various stalls with gift ideas for Christmas, kids games, cakes and refreshmen­ts.

■■Cardiff Canton Salvation Army 140th anniversar­y celebratio­n concert is taking place at Canton Corp on Cowbridge Road, tomorrow, October 19, at 7pm. With special guests the Salvation Army Household Troops Band. Tickets are £5 on the door and everyone is welcome.

■■The next meeting of the Bridgend branch of the Glamorgan family History Society is on Monday, October 21, at The Len Evans Centre, off Heol Persondy, Aberkenfig CF32 9RF. Speaker will be Mr Dean Powell on “Land of my Father’s”. Doors open 7pm, talk to start 7.30pm with refreshmen­ts available. All welcome.

■■St Philip Evans Union of Catholic Mothers are holding a coffee morning on Tuesday, October 22, 10am until noon, at St Philip Evans Church Hall, Llanedeyrn Drive, Llanedeyrn, Cardiff CF23. Tickets £2.50 or pay at the door. Everyone welcome.

■■ On Thursday, October 24, at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) in St Mary’s Church, Whitchurch, Cardiff, there will be a concert ‘All things bright and beautiful’. Featuring contempora­ry, classical and modern music performed by the South Wales Clarinet Choir and Treble C. Tickets available at the door priced £5. The programme consists of music by Mozart, Handel, Paul Simon (Bridge Over Troubled Water), Lennon and McCartney (Blackbird), John Hughes (Calon Lân), Shostakovi­ch etc. Refreshmen­ts available.

■■Love to sing and perform? Come and join the Cantorian Pontyclun Ladies Choir on Tuesday evenings, 7.15pm for 7.30pm, at Cafe 50, Pontyclun, next to the community hall. Look at the Cantorion Pontyclun website for details.
