THE Grand hotel in York, pictured, has created a threenight package for those looking for a stress-free Christmas.
Guests are invited to check in on Tuesday, December 24, where they will be served champagne and mince pies prior to dinner in the hotel’s The Rise restaurant, with music from an acoustic singer.
The concierge will then make arrangements for those wishing to attend a Christmas service at York Minster.
Christmas Day will be heralded with breakfast and optional festive activities before a four-course Christmas lunch in the hotel’s historic Grand Boardroom.
Lunch will be rounded off with Christmas pudding coffee and petits fours, ahead of Father Christmas coming to join in the fun.
On Boxing Day, guests can spend the morning exploring the city ahead of a grand afternoon tea served to the backdrop of a string quartet in the Grand Boardroom.
The three-day break draws to a close on December 27.
