■■On Sunday March 1, The Pound at the top of the High Street in Llandaff will be open for a site visit. There’ll be a chance to hear from the builders and architects about the conversion of the old toilet block to a centre for older people run by Llandaff 50+. It’s open 10am-3pm and you can learn about rainwater harvesting, sustainabi­lity and even donate a solar slate for the roof.

■■Awen, Whitchurch Library Friends Group, is holding the following free events at the Methodist Church while the Library is closed: Reminiscen­ce Group on March 3 at 2pm; Knitter Natters, fortnightl­y from Friday, February 28, at 1pm; Get Drawing, every Tuesday at 2.15pm. Everyone welcome.

■■ Roath Park Primary School holds its annual Past Pupils Event on Friday, March 27, at 2pm. Open to anybody who has ever been a pupil at Roath Park Primary School. There will be a chance to meet old friends and maybe make some new ones. The school choir will perform and light refreshmen­ts will be served. Call Ellinor Watts on 029 2049 9549.

■■The Jelly Beans Mother and Toddler Group meets at Rumney Baptist Church, Tyr y Sarn Road, Rumney, Cardiff, every Friday during term time, 9.45-11.30am, in the community hall at the rear of the church. Tel: 029 2079 1364.

■■The City of Llandaff Petanque club is recruiting new members. A chance to try the game of boules in a beautiful location at the Boathouse, Bridge Road, Llandaff, overlookin­g the River Taff. Male and female players compete against each other on an equal basis, all ages catered for. See www. llandaffpe­tanque.org.uk

■■Every Wednesday morning during school term time there is a session for parents or carers to bring babies and toddlers to Tots and Tunes in Caerphilly.
