For the safety of patients, transplants are on hold at the moment, but we still continue to care for those patients who have previously received a transplant who need medical care.
Coronavirus has affected my personal life in regards to seeing my partner and family. I want to protect them as much as possible during this time, so it’s a case of working through it for their safety being the main priority.
Shop opening hours for NHS staff have been a massive help when it comes to working 12-hour shifts. There is no time to go shopping unless it’s a day off, so being able to get this done first thing in the morning has been so welcome.
Nathan’s artwork is such a beautiful piece, that has no doubt made every member of the NHS feel immensely proud to be a part of it.
I was a little shocked as my mum sent the photo to Nathan. I had no idea, so thanks Mum! It was her way of showing how proud she is of me and everyone I work with.
The appreciation for the NHS has been so overwhelming. As awful a situation as we are in, one thing it has proved is that we are all doing our bit to help each other through this nightmare. The amount of gifts, donations and food we have received as a health board has been overwhelming and we can’t say thank you enough to everyone. It makes me extremely proud to put my uniform on. When driving home from an exhausting shift, it makes it a little better knowing everyone has your back and is rooting for you.
My biggest fear is potentially contracting the virus, not so much for myself but to pass it on to those I love. I live with a member of my family who is classed as vulnerable, so I’m taking all the necessary precautions to ensure her safety.
We all hope to get through this crazy time and come out stronger as a team, which I know for a fact we will.
