What’s the team news?

Cardiff City have luckily not picked up any injuries from their first two matches following the restart.

The Bluebirds did suffer a little injury scare when Josh Murphy damaged his calf against Swansea City in a friendly match and Neil Harris said the winger is “touch and go” regarding his fitness for today’s clash.

Elsewhere, Isaac Vassell is a long-term absentee, while Greg Cunningham is still working his way back to full fitness.

For Charlton there are also no obvious injury concerns.

We could see Wales international Jonny Williams start in the Welsh capital, having been an unused sub in Charlton’s last match, a 1-0 win over QPR.

Former Cardiff City player Deji Oshilaja could start at left-back, too.

What have the managers said? Cardiff City manager Neil Harris: “We’ve had praise this week from the media and fans after the Leeds performance and result and to follow it up in the manner that we did against a good Preston side is impressive.

“I’m delighted we’ve played so well again with the football. Ultimately, at this stage of the season though it is all about the three points.

“It’s another confidence boost for us and pushes us in the right direction.”

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer: “It’s my job to keep their feet on the ground and let them know that we ain’t safe yet. We have to keep pushing and keep fighting for every point. Every point is valuable in this league. You never know what is going to happen.”
