■■2002: Moved to Wales from Paisley in Scotland

■■2012: Convicted in Cardiff of two battery charges (victim Amy Clarke) including breaking into her house and strangling her unconsciou­s, having previously broken her nose. Sentence – suspended sentence, 180 hours of unpaid work, £300 of fines, restrainin­g order, a 10-day alcohol management course. ■■Feb 2018: (Victim Paula McNeill) charged with assault, criminal damage, section 38 (threatenin­g abusive behaviour), resisting arrest for alleged attack in Mull.

■■April 2018: (Victim Paula McNeill) charged with assault to injury and section 38 (both over a three-week period in March 2018) grabbing her neck and punching her. Also stealing her bank card at the taxi rank, grabbing her, harassment and abusive texts.

■■April 2019: Paisley Sheriff Court – the above was combined with the Mull charges which were later dropped. Sentenced to 275 hours’ Community Payback Order, ordered on Choose to Change programme and not allowed to contact Paula or reference her on social media.

■■May 2019: Moved to Wales – unofficial­ly changes name to David Blakely.

■■November 2019: Sentenced at Cardiff Magistrate­s’ Court for assaulting a police officer – community service. ■■December 2019: Six charges including assault by beating of Amanda Hopkins, threatenin­g and using insulting language, failure to answer bail – served 16 weeks’ jail in total.

■■July 2020: Starts his Choose To Change programme 15 months after it was ordered by court for assault on Paula and six months after attacking Amanda. Released from prison April 2020. ■■May 2020: Charged with ABH after an incident with Amanda where she fled the flat. Case dropped on day of trial as she had not given a statement. ■■November 2020: Charged with breaching the Community Payback Order he was given in Paisley (for Paula in April 2018). He pleaded guilty and was given a £350 fine at Cardiff Magistrate­s’ Court and the order allowed to continue until April 2021.

■■November 2020: Given two £150 fines which were breach of bail (turning up to the pub on her friend’s 40th) and a section 38 – threatenin­g and abusive behaviour.
