Tom adds Welsh date to rescheduled tour

-

SINGING legend Sir Tom Jones, pictured, has announced he will performing at an outdoor concert in Wales this summer.

The Ponty-born legend was due to play more than dozen venues in 2020, but they were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The delay meant the showbiz icon wasn’t able to celebrate his 80th birthday on the road, a landmark age reached in June last year.

The shows have now been rescheduled across the UK and an additional date has now been added for Wales.

It was announced on Monday that he will be performing at The Event Arena in Rhyl on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Tickets for the Rhyl concert go on general sale on Friday 16 at 10am.

Having just completed another series as a coach on The Voice, Sir Tom is now gearing up to release his much-anticipated new album Surrounded By Time on April 23.

Pablo Janczur, Director of the Cardiff-based concert promoter Orchard Live said: “When we brought Tom to Colwyn Bay in 2015 everyone had such a good time, we just knew we had to bring him back to North Wales.

“Such an iconic artist coming to town means only one thing - a night to remember!”

Tickets go on sale 10am Friday 16 th April via Ticketmaster.co.uk or rhylpavilion.co.uk. For accessible tickets please call 01745 33 00 00
