ONE of the most expensive properties in Cardiff costs almost the same as a three-bedroom flat in London and a lake-side villa in Italy.
We compared what a £2m home looks like in Cardiff and other popular destinations including London, Greece and Thailand.
All properties are, of course, luxurious. From a farmhouse surrounded by green fields on the edge of Cardiff to a grand villa with its own outdoor pool in Spain, these houses have plenty to offer. All properties are currently listed on Rightmove.
Cardiff
Six-bedroom farmhouse, Thornhill Wenallt Farm is a beautiful six-bedroom farmhouse located in an idyllic valley setting. Italy

For just under £2m in Italy, you could get this villa with parkland and a swimming pool in Lake Como.
Set in 2.5 acres of land, the villa overlooks Lake Como and has its own guest house. It also has a large garden, space for three cars and a portico with a wood oven and barbecue.
The property is set over two floors with some open living spaces, large windows, exposed wooden beams and a stone fireplace.
