BOTTOM of the table Cardiff Dragons rocked top of the Carling Premier League Trelai 3-2 after a nailbiting finish.

The Dragons took the lead after twenty five minutes through Camile Walter Wright.

The match turned around late in the first half as Trelai produced an equaliser on thirty seven minutes and then on forty one minutes, a corner hit the bar and fell to Trelai to finish in a goal line scramble.

After the break, the Dragons responded through Pete Edwards to bring the match back to 2- 2.

With the game looking like it was heading for a draw, a Scott Richards corner in the last play of the game found Josh Harris who headed home for a dramatic winner.

Meanwhile, Locksmiths moved up into second place in the table following a 4-0 win over previously unbeaten Radyr Rangers at the University playing fields.

Both teams started the game well with a few early efforts on goal. Harri Ryan broke the deadlock midway through the first half with a free-kick on the edge of the 18 yard box, nestled into the bottom right corner.

Ben Ryan’s cross was finished by

Brandon Slattery’s left foot to make it 2-0 before half time.

Ben Wiley’s run down the right was met by Ben Ryan at the back post, who took it past the defender and calmly made it 3-0 to the Locksmiths shortly into the second half.

A fast counter saw Ben Ryan fouled in the 18 yard box, forcing a penalty. Ben calmly finished, securing a 4-0 win and another clean sheet for the Locksmiths.

Cossacks got off to a bad start when in the fourth minute some lazy defending let County in for their opening goal from Joseph Davies.

Cossacks looked nervous after four defeats on the trot before this match, but in the 37th minute, Cossacks drew level through Josh Hughes.

The Cossacks grew more into the game and started to dominate from there on, they were rewarded for their pressing game when in the 42nd minute King whipped in a beautiful cross from the left to be met by debutant striker Dan Henry to make it 2-1 at the break.

The Cossacks carried on from the end of the first half and nine minutes later, they extended their lead to 3-1 with Henry’s second and in the 59th minute they got their fourth goal, as Henry completed his hat-trick.

County reduced the deficit through Rhys Cottrell.
