Overnight road closures due on M4

THE M4 is set to see a number of road closures this week.

A number of overnight closures will be taking place at junctions along the road with disruption possible for those travelling in the evenings or early in the morning.

Here are all the roadworks or closures affecting travellers in and around the M4 until Sunday. ■■M4 westbound junction 19 to 20: Emergency roadworks will take place from April 8 to April 30. Traffic Wales says this will only cause slight disruption to drivers and does not include a road closure.

■■M4 junction 42 Earlswood to junction 43 Llandarcy: These junctions are closed from April 18 until May 1 to facilitate resurfacin­g work. The closures will be in place overnight between 8pm and 6am. ■■M4 eastbound between junctions 23 and 22: These junctions will be closed overnight between April 25 and 27 between 9pm and 6am. This is to allow roadworks to take place. ■■M4 westbound junction 22: Road repairs are planned at this junction from April 27 to April 29, with the road closed overnight between 10pm and 6am. ■■M4 eastbound between junctions 22 and 20: The road will be shut from April 25 to April 30 overnight between 10pm and 6am due to roadworks.

■■M4 westbound between junctions 21 and 22: The roads at these junctions will be closed overnight from April 26 to 27 to allow road repairs to take place. The road will closed at 8.30pm and reopen at 6am the next morning. From April 27 to 29 closures will take place between 10pm and 6am.

■■M4 westbound between junctions 22 and 23: Road repairs will close the road between April 25 and 27 between 9pm and 6am each day and from April 27 to April 29 between 10pm and 6am each day.

■■M4 westbound exit slip at junction 19: The slip road will be closed between 10pm on April 27 and 6am on April 28 for planned roadworks.

■■M4 westbound between junctions 20 and 21: The road will be closed from April 25 to 30 overnight between 10pm and 6am to facilitate roadworks. From April 26 to April 27 it will be closed between 8.30pm and 6am.
