It’s the cheap labour they’re craving to avoid paying decent living wages so they are able to pander to the stock market and their shareholders.

Peter Dale

Make those that are coming in their droves on boats work in the fields, instead of freeloading, we might find them on the first boat out of here, when they realise it’s not as cushy as they thought. Tracy Goodman Artus

Maybe he should worry about sorting out the shambles that is the staff’s pay. He should be focused on sorting that out for his staff, not worrying about how fruit is getting picked.

Dodger Huggins

It’s almost as if they weren’t warned what would happen. Sam Davies

What did you vote for then? Is this guy serious? And I have to question how did he get to the position he is that he could not see this happening, it’s easy to complain after but you voted for it so live with it, you can get people here to work – you will just need to pay them a decent liveable wage not bordering on poverty, are you deluded? You got what you voted for unless you believed the rubbish lies written on a bus, what’s happening in the NHS, small business closing because they can’t afford to trade in Europe, now you want to stand up and claim it’s not what you voted for. Get rid of this man, he’s a joker. Tony Long

Pay a proper wage if you want people to take these jobs. Bobby Milne

Why not just pay British workers more money and they might do these jobs?

Martin O’Neil

Why does the Government not allow pensioners to do it and pay them for doing it and let them have that on top of their pension? I’m sure able-bodied ones would solve the problem.

Maria Law

If crops are rotting in fields and factories are inoperable, then how come we have millions on the dole here that could have those jobs? Why aren’t they being offered them? They could get a proper wage instead of low money benefits? Just saying...

Gwynneth Tudor Llewellyn

It’s exactly the Brexit you voted for. How thick can these people be? Martin Booth

It’s not the Brexit I wanted. I want border controls!

Rita Fraser

No sympathy. We knew this would happen, but we were / are the Remoaners.

Bethan Mair Edwards

Yet we have so many people registered for unemployment benefits on our soil already...

If only being unemployed wasn’t so subsidised.

Drew Burman

You were warned that this would happen!

Chris Franks

Don’t bame Brexit, there are labour shortages all over the Western world, in Europe and the USA too. James Powell
