Bastille get ready to storm the castle next July

-

THE fifth Depot at the Castle event will see indie band Bastille headline the summer festival in the heart of Cardiff.

Based in the castle grounds, previous Depot in the Castle headliners over the years have included Kaiser Chiefs, Clean Bandit and The Fratellis.

The band will make their Cardiff Castle debut at next year’s twoday Depot in the Castle on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Other acts over the weekend have not been announced yet.

In 2014, Bastille won Best Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards. Now, with more than 11 million records sold, six UK Top 40 singles – including Pompeii – and more than 1.5 billion video views, Bastille continue to be one of the world’s most streamed bands.

Nick Saunders, founder of The Depot said: “We are thrilled to be bringing Bastille to the Welsh capital next summer; we love watching the sun go down whilst listening to some fantastic live music – and there’s no better venue than the castle!”

Tickets for the Bastille gig go on sale at 9am this Friday.
