Festive fun at pier pavilion
PENARTH Pier Pavilion is stepping into Christmas with a schedule of festive events.
Events include Christmas wreathmaking workshops, art history talks, festive brunch and afternoon tea Polar Express screenings, an art demonstration, and a cabaret evening.
Running from Wednesday, the events cater for a range of ages and interests.
The pavilion is also hosting a free open day on Saturday, December 10.
It will be an opportunity to explore the iconic venue. The festivities will begin at 11am with carol singing with Penarth Salvation Army Band, followed by mince pies and music inside the pavilion.
Councillor Rhiannon Birch, cabinet member for education, arts and the Welsh Language, said: “This year’s festive schedule looks wonderful and I’m sure will be enjoyed by many.
“After an extensive programme of work to restore the much-loved building, it’s always great to see the doors of the pavilion open to the community. The open day will be a fantastic opportunity to embrace the Christmas spirit in a beautiful venue.”
Tickets start from £7.25 and bookings can be made on the Vale of Glamorgan website.
