Arrest after robbery report

ARMED police responded to reports of an armed robbery at a commercial premises.

South Wales Police said one man had been arrested.

Officers from South Wales Police descended on Aberfan Road, Aberfan, at around 5.30pm on Monday evening in response to an armed robbery at a commercial premises.

The force said a 24-year-old man was arrested and remains in police custody.

Police are now investigating the incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or any suspicious activity prior to or following it, to contact them via 101 quoting 2200401686.
