Opening date for new ‘clubhouse’

-

A DATE has been announced for a new Cardiff city centre clubhouse and restaurant to open.

Coppa Club has announced that its first Welsh location – The Cardiff Townhouse – will open in May.

It will open in the former David Morgan department store on Monday, May 13, it was announced yesterday.

Coppa Club opened its first location in 2015 and now has multiple venues across England and soon to be one in Wales.

The restaurant and bar chain was created to offer people a space to enjoy any time of the day without the fees that existing members’ only clubs require.

The new all-day restaurant will be opening at the old Moss Bros site on The Hayes after first being announced in 2022.

The Cardiff Townhouse will be split over two separate floors, with a different experience on each level. Customers will be welcomed into the dog-friendly ground floor – with its own bar – open early morning for coffee. The first floor will be anchored by the Atrium Bar – a horseshoeshaped cocktail bar set under a skylight.

Rebecca Tooth, managing director of Coppa Club, said: “We are hugely excited to announce the opening of The Cardiff Townhouse on May 13. “Building on the success of The Bath Townhouse and Guildford Townhouse, we are delighted to be opening our third Townhouse location in one of the most iconic areas of Cardiff.

“We are fortunate to be opening in a building steeped in history and envision it becoming a real go-to in the city for drinks, dining, and events.”
