Bark in Park promises fun-filled day for dogs and pals

A DOGS home in Cardiff is Hosting their biggest event yet this May, inviting you and your beloved pooches along for a day of fun. Bark in the Park, hosted by The Rescue Hotel, is hosting their version of Crufts to south Wales with a fun-filled day for both dogs and owners.

On Sunday, May 19, everyone is invited to bring their dogs along to Romilly Park in Barry for the event’s second and biggest year yet. Bark in the Park will see dogs compete in a range of competitio­ns whilst the humans can enjoy food from a plethora of street food vendors.

Your pooches will have a chance to win prizes in a number of different competitio­ns including, doggy dash, best boy, golden oldies, prettiest girl, best rescue and dog most like their owner.

There will also be an agility showcase where your dog will then be able to have a go at it themselves.

There will be a variety of stalls to explore as well as street food vendors. Confirmed vendors include Hench Burger, Dutty Vegan, El Cabron, Welsh Italian Pizza, Snowy Cones and Life of Reilly Coffee Co.

The stalls for you to explore while walking around the park include Overseas Apparel, Lord & Lady Dog Treats, Shua Trust, Peggy Pots and many more.

Bark in the Park, taking place between noon and 4pm on Sunday, May 19, is a free event with proceeds raised throughout the day going to Cardiff Dogs Home.

The event is fun for all of the family with music, food and entertainm­ent for all ages, and breeds.
