Po­lice in­ves­ti­gate af­ter two in­jured in ‘iron bar at­tack’

TWO men have been left in­jured fol­low­ing an iron bar at­tack in a Swansea lane.

The area, known lo­cally as Whitey Lane, was taped off in Mor­ris­ton overnight af­ter the in­ci­dent, which hap­pened at around 8pm on Mon­day night.

South Wales Po­lice said two men, aged 56 and 49, were in­jured fol­low­ing an as­sault which in­volved an iron bar.

One of the men went to Mor­ris­ton Hospi­tal with mi­nor in­juries.

Of­fi­cers say they are now car­ry­ing out in­ves­ti­ga­tions into the al­leged in­ci­dent.

A po­lice spokes­woman said: “South Wales Po­lice re­ceived re­ports at ap­prox­i­mately 8pm on Mon­day, Novem­ber 5, of an as­sault in­volv­ing an iron bar near Llan­l­lien­wen Road, Mor­ris­ton.

“A 56-year-old man and a 49-year-old man were in­jured, and the area was closed off while of­fi­cers searched for the item used.

“This is cur­rently be­ing in­ves­ti­gated.
