Café bar in line for award with Italian flavour

REMO’S, a café bar and restaurant on Aberavon Beach, has been shortlisted as best café in the prestigious 2018 Welsh Italian Awards.

The winner will be announced at the black tie gala final on Monday, November 26 at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff.

“We’re delighted that so many of our customers have voted for us,” said Remo’s manager Tony Difrancesco, pictured.

“We like to feel that Remo’s is very much a part of the local community and the support we’ve had confirms that. We’re very much looking forward to the gala final – even if we don’t win, I’m sure we’ll have a great time.”

The Welsh Italian Awards brought together almost 200 representatives from the best of the Welsh Italian hospitality industry and this year’s even looks like being equally popular. It will include Italian food and an Italian karaoke.

“We’re proud of our Italian roots, which are evident in everything from our ice cream to our cooking,” said Tony. “Remo’s is a family business with a wonderful team of staff and I’d like to thank them all for their efforts.”
