Unacceptable ‘interference’
I FEEL the letter from Mr Lees (Post, Tuesday) cannot go by without a reply.
What I said in my own earlier letter was that interference by outside agencies in a number of elections and referendums is totally unacceptable.
My point about Russian interference was to highlight the fact that its’ legislature applauded the result of our EU referendum in 2016.
The fact that the Russian leadership seems to show little or no regard for international law, for example allegedly poisoning people in our country, should make the public concerned. I am not sure that any other countries have acted in that way.
In the meantime, this whole Brexit shambles is making our country the laughing stock of the world, and shows that the so-called Mother of Parliaments is now unable to lead our country. COUNCILLOR CHRIS HOLLEY via email
