Crash shuts major road

A CRASH on the A465 road at the Neath interchang­e closed the main carriagewa­y in one direction for three hours yesterday.

The smash, which involved three vehicles, happened just after 12.20pm yesterday lunchtime.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said at the time: “South Wales Police have attended a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A465 road southbound in Neath.

“Three people have been conveyed to hospital with minor injuries.

“The main carriagewa­y is currently closed, and we’re asking the public to avoid the area if possible at this time,” added the spokesman.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said one person had been taken to Morriston Hospital.

The road reopened at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.
