Festive concert date at Tabernacle

A TRADITIONA­L festive concert will be taking place in Morriston on Saturday.

Tickets are available for the Christmas 2018 celebratio­n of Handel’s Messiah, which will take place at Tabernacle Chapel, Morriston.

Tabernacle Morriston Choir, along with choristers from the Cardiff Bach Choir, will combine to perform Handel’s much-loved work, which, following a 10-year absence, was reintroduc­ed by the choir as a special annual Christmas event at Tabernacle Chapel three years ago.

The musical accompanim­ent will feature the famous Tabernacle Chapel organ, played by Glenn Crooks, with harpsichor­d accompanim­ent provided by Sally Tarleton.

Soloists will be Ros Evans, soprano; Sian Menna, contralto; Gareth Morris, tenor; and Martin Lloyd, bass.

The concert will be under the baton of Luke Spencer, musical director of both Tabernacle Morriston and Cardiff Bach Choir.

Doors will be open from 6.15pm and the concert will start at 7pm.

Tickets cost £10 downstairs or upstairs, and all seats are unreserved.
