Kath’s shock over reported ‘feud’ with former co-star
SINGER Katherine Jenkins has spoken of her upset on hearing that former co-star Alfie Boe had defaced a poster of her with a vile swear word.
The Neath-born singer has been touring the country in the past week signing her new album, Guiding Light, and discovered the upsetting slight in Manchester HMV.
A poster of the singer is reported to have the word ‘C***’ written over it and when she asked a staff member who wrote it, she claims they told her it was Alfie who did the writing.
On the ITV lunchtime show Loose Women, Katherine defied the negative furore saying: “Noone wants to read that but I’m a big girl, I have to talk about happier things and not let that affect this week.”
Speaking to presenters Jane Moore, Denise Welch, Carol Mcgiffin and Nadia Sawalha, Mirroronline reported that Katherine added: “I wish I could tell you that that story is not true, but it did happen, it was actually in the Manchester HMV. And I read that there’s a big feud between us. I don’t know anything about a feud, I have two kids and an album out, I don’t have any time for a feud.
“I don’t know what makes somebody . . . you’ll have to ask him, but obviously it was upsetting.”
Jane Moore said that Alfie’s representatives did not wish to comment. We also approached them for comment.
