POLICE are appealing for information to find two men filmed brawling apparently in a street in Swansea.

The footage, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows what seems to be a violent confrontation involving two men, next to a car parked in the middle of what is believed to be Mansel Road in Bonymaen.

The two men then exchange words, before one takes a swing at the other’s face.

After a brief stand-off in which the man who threw the initial punch in the film squares up and takes a boxing stance, he appears to invite the other man to attempt to hit him on the chin.

But instead he is thrown to the floor, while the other man kicks out, before also being dragged down.

The two men then roll around on the floor grappling with each other, while onlookers are heard to laugh.

Bizarrely, a neighing horse can also be heard in the background.

Among those to have shared the clip is former world champion boxer Enzo Maccarinelli, who said: “I run a boxing gym in Bonymaen, quite a successful one, and I’d like to point out that these two are in no way affiliated with my club!”

Police said that, although the incident had not been reported to them, they were aware of it, and were appealing for information in a bid to identify the men involved.

A spokesman for the force said: “South Wales Police is aware that footage of an altercation between two men, purportedly filmed in Bonymaen, is circulating on social media.

“The incident does not appear to have been reported to police, however local enquiries are underway to identify the individuals in the video.

“Officers would appeal to the men filmed and the person who filmed or uploaded the video to contact police via 101”.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is also asked to contact police.
