What’s become of Christmas
Does Christmas hold such high esteem, As it did so long ago? Now, as each year passes Reverence fades more and more.
It’s become more commercialised, Lavish adverts on TV Much less religious festival, More of a shopping spree.
And outdoor illuminations, Are they there just to compete? So folk can say,”just look at ours the brightest in the street.”
Less home made decorations, For that’s the modern way, Shepherds and angels much less vogue, Than a plump man on a sleigh.
Of course we can still celebrate, Continue feast and fun, But let’s remember Christmas, For the birth of God’s own son.
