Police hunt for woman following train assault

-

POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a woman after a train passenger became aggressive and allegedly attacked a group of fellow passengers.

British Transport Police are appealing for information after the attack on a train that was travelling between Swansea and Neath at around 10.20pm on Saturday, November 17.

A group of three women were on board the service which was departing Swansea station.

Officers said that during the journey, another woman on board the train became extremely aggressive and verbally abusive towards the three women and other passengers.

The unknown woman then suddenly became violent, slapping one of the friends before pulling the hair of another.

Other passengers intervened, stopping any further assault.

The unknown woman then made further threats, saying “I’ll have you at Neath” to the group.

This was a seemingly unprovoked assault which left the three friends shaken but not injured.

Officers believe the woman shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate. ■ If you know who she is, contact BTP by sending a text to 61016, or you can call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 714 of 17/11/2018.
