Tributes paid to OAP after fatal collision

A GRIEVING family have paid tribute to a pensioner who died after being involved in a four-car crash on the M4.

Roy Amos passed away after he was involved in the collision, which happened in between junction 48 A4138 Pontarddul­ais Road (Hendy/ Llanelli) to junction 49 A48 (Pont Abraham Roundabout) at around 4.30pm on Monday, January 7.

The 81-year-old was from the Llandeilo area.

Several other people were taken to hospital following the crash, which saw the road closed until 6.45pm.

Mr Amos’s family have now issued a tribute to the pensioner.

They said: “Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r and greatgrand­father, who will be sadly missed.”

Police are still appealing for any witnesses to this collision, in particular anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
