Bookies don’t rate Swans’ chances

- AIDAN MCCARTNEY

LEEDS United moved four points clear at the top of the Sky Bet Championship after their 2-0 home victory over Derby County.

The pre-match talk was overshadowed by the ‘Spygate’ revelations but on the pitch Leeds proved too strong for Frank Lampard’s Rams.

Norwich City again came from behind to draw, this time at fellow promotion hopefuls West Brom as Jordan Rhodes’s 83rd-minute effort pegged back Dwight Gayle’s early strike.

Sheffield United took advantage of the Canaries slip up to move into second as David Mcgoldrick scored the only goal against QPR.

Middlesbrough kept up the pace with a 2-1 success away at Birmingham City while Hull City and Bristol City both secured wins to keep in the play-off picture.

Swansea City remain outsiders at 28/1 for promotion following their 1-1 draw at Preston. The Swans are currently 13th in the table, just one point behind Aston Villa who

are a much shorter 7/1 for promotion.

The Swans are six points behind sixthplaced Derby who occupy the final play-off spot.
