Police appeal after man with weapon raids store

A MAN armed with a weapon attempted to hold up a convenienc­e store in Swansea’s eastside.

The man, described as white and aged in his late 40s, entered the Premier Store in Port Tennant Road at around 7.25pm on Tuesday.

Police said he was armed with a weapon, but have declined to say what the weapon was.

Police are now appealing for informatio­n.

A spokesman said: “A man entered the store with a weapon before leaving empty-handed.

“The suspect is described as white, aged in his late 40s, of skinny build, about 5ft 4ins tall, with short facial stubble which looked ginger or light coloured.” ■ Anyone with informatio­n should contact 101 or Crimestopp­ers on 0800 555 111 quoting occurrence 2000183008.
